What to post in Moments and Shorts.
Share a thought, tag a friend or pair a photo with a caption in Moments. Choose video when movement or sound tells the story, and upload it to Shorts. Start with something you enjoy and have permission to share.

Start with the format that fits the moment.
A quick thought works as a short text update. A photo says more about a place, a plate of food or a view worth remembering. A short video suits the ones with sound or motion — a live room highlight, a song stuck in your head, a walk somewhere new.
Write a Moment and tag friends through @mentions, or upload a photo with a caption. Choose a video in the composer to share in Shorts after checks and processing. Your profile Moments view gives friends somewhere to catch up with your posts.
Think about who might actually see it.
A Moment can travel further than the room or chat it started in. Before posting, picture a follower you don’t know well reading it, not just the friend who inspired it.
Review the privacy options available for Moments before you post, and get permission before including another person’s face, name or private conversation. A moment shared with one person is not automatically theirs to share with everyone.
Give people a reason to respond.
A specific detail invites a specific reply. “Best song from tonight’s room” gets more responses than “fun night.” A question in your caption does more work than a caption that only describes the photo.
Reply to the people who comment on your Moments the way you would in a live room — briefly, honestly and without ignoring the ones you don’t immediately recognise. That is usually how a Moment turns into a follow, and a follow turns into a friendship.
